Creativity by 'Nature'

Thanks to a very uncanny comment on the blog, i went in search of the perfect template that would complement my blog- not because design shows creativity- but just in search of presentability. The search proved useful in more ways than one. I was able to define, more clearly, the causes that this blog would stand for - Peace, the green battle and last but not the least, creativity. And that's what i found... there it was- staring at me right in the face...the perfect mix of the three. "Creative by 'nature' (pun intended!)".
Last week, the South Asian Youth Peace Meet (SAYPM) was held at the Symbiosis International University, Pune. The event saw the coming together of youth from different parts of the South Asian region, with emminant personalities like Kiran Bedi and Imran Khan gracing the occasion and sharing their perspective on the issue, with the students.
I was introduced, for the first time, to the concept of the Model United Nations. I think this is a very creative and fun way of learning about other countries- their culture, their trade policies, their foreign policies and the like. It inspired me to see youngsters as young as 19 years of age, so well informed about other cultures and savy with United Nations protocol.
I think more events like SAYPM are the need of the hour- creative but fun, appealing to the youth, yet productive.
I think our generation has already made a start. We use half the amount of paper our parents used at our age. Blogging is in... diaries are out! If youngsters do keep diaries, most of them are safely locked away on the net under uncrackable passwords!! With the advent of the internet, we've moved a step closer to victory in the Great Green Battle.
What about energy conservation, you may ask?? Well, we can only change the world a little at a time ;)
